The NCAA requires a certain number of “core courses” to be eligible to play collegiate athletics and to receive a scholarship. It is of the upmost importance that you meet with your school guidance counselor in your freshman year and inform them of your intention to play collegiate athletics in the future. But don’t leave it up to the counselor! Be informed about the NCAA Eligibility core requirements and make sure you are taking the proper courses to be eligible!
